Chula-Essex Track
The University of Essex is a public research university in the English county of Essex. It was founded in 1963 and received its first students in 1964. The Colchester Campus, located in Wivenhoe Park, is the University of Essex's largest campus.
The Times Higher Education named the University of Essex "University of the Year" for 2018. Essex was ranked in the top 20 universities in the UK for the quality of its research in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) in 2014, and in the top 5 for social science. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019 by Subject, Essex is ranked 50th in the social sciences. The University of Essex was ranked 301-305th in the World University Ranking 2021 in 2021. Its Department of Government has consistently been ranked as the highest-rated politics department in the UK, while the Essex Pathways Department has effectively provided undergraduate skill development and up-to-date modules on fundamental knowledge to help students succeed toward their degrees.
PGS students will receive a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Essex as a result of our dual-degree collaboration.

Political Theory, History of the United Kingdom, Sociological Imagination, as well as Introduction to Politics and International Relations, Cooperation and Conflicts, and Politics and Power are among the fundamental and contemporary issue modules covered.
On-campus housing is available for our first-year students at the University of Essex campus.
The University is also well-known for its student support and tolerance of social diversity.
Colchester is a historic town in the United Kingdom that is only one hour by train from London.

Summer Internship Period
Internship is compulsory and required for Politics and Global Studies at Faculty of Political Science Chulalongkorn University. Students are able to take an internship and collect their evaluation anytime after they complete Year 2 of the program. They must register for the Internship Course and be evaluated by Internship Coordinator in their Year 4.
